TROUBLE FAXING

I cannot send a fax from home to office. My home is one area code, and my
office another. It is not a toll call, and "1" need not be dialed. But I
can't figure out a setting on the Fax Wizard to fax without first dialing "1"
since the area codes are different.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry this is the MS Access (the database program) newsgroup. Try a
newsgroup devoted to the program you are using. You should find people
better able to address your problem there than here.

i looked and am having trouble finding it.

You're posting in the wrong newsgroup, this one being devoted to general
questions about Microsoft Access, but I may be able to help you anyway.
Open up the Windows Control Panel and double-click on "Phone and Modem
Options" (or whatever among the applets looks most like that). Choose
your Home location and click the Edit... button. On the tabbed dialog
that appears, go to the Area Code Rules tab. If the area code for your
office isn't listed, click New...; if it is already listed, select it
and click Edit. The area code rule will be displayed. Edit it so that
it doesn't dial the 1 prefix, but does include the area code, when
dialing. Click OK to save your changes, and make your way out of the
applet.

I *think* that should solve your problem.
