Trouble displaying sites with Japanese and Chinese Text

Brian

Whenever I go to a website with Japanese or Chinese text,
it doesn't seem toload properly. I have installed the
Chinese and Japanese text support for IE6 and can't figure
out what is wrong. Does anyone know how to fix this
problem?

These sites may not be declaring the Language Encoding on their web pages
and IE is unable to resolve what character set to use.

When you visit such a page select the View=>Encoding menu in IE and see what
language encoding has been selected. If Autoselect is ticked then IE has
been unable to determine the appropriate language settings because the web
page is missing the appropriate META tags.
In these cases manually select the Encoding language from the available list
under the View=>Encoding menu.

Thanks for posting.
The Autoselect was not 'ticked' when I checked... I tried
http://www.amazon.co.jp (which works fine on other
computers that I've tried) and it doesn't work on this
computer. I tried selecting the other encoding option for
Japanese but it didn't work... Any other solutions?
(Reinstalling IE6 will not work.)
