Craig

I have struck a bit of a problem. An unsolicitored
program has been changing my internet explorer home page
and adding websites to my favourites. I have tried
deleting theseurl links and also resetting my home page.
Each time i do this all seems fie until i re-boot my pc.
when my pc is booted up these things are back. i've done
everything i can think of. I know the timeframe that this
has happened if that is of any help.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

hello
a)go to start-run and type 'msconfig'
got to startup and see if the link is present in the list,
eliminate it and aply
change your home page first
b)download adaware and scan for spyware, eliminate them
I hope it works

Try these programs, both are free downloads.
AdAware www.lavasoftusa.com
SpyBot Search and Destroy www.security.kolla.de

SpyBot's free version is complete and will remove and block
further action by "nasty" programs. AdAware has a paid
version which has similar features. AdAware and SpyBot have
a slightly different list of "nasty" programs and they
update their lists a couple of times a month. I run both,
and just delete whatever they find. They do warn that if
you delete some spyware the associated program may not run.
This means that if you deleted the bad parts of Hotbar (for
example) the whole Hotbar won't run. [no great loss]

Also, run a good anti-virus program, some of those nasty
sites also plant viruses.

Besides the two programs listed below you might want to
try spywareguard,it not only protects your start page
from hijacking but if you are installing "bundled"
software and spyware is included it will inform you about
it during the install process check it out
