Trouble connecting using Remote Desktop over VPN

Fraz

I've been experiencing difficulty connecting to PCs (Windows 2000 Server,
Windows 2003 Server, and Windows XP) at work using a Remote Desktop
Connection over a VPN tunnel from home. Sometimes it can take up to a dozen
attempts before the login is accepted. Is there a configuration change that
can be made to prevent this from happening so I can connect immediately?
TIA!

I assume you are not facing any problem making a VPN connection.

For better remote desktop experience, you can adjust the remote desktop
settings. 'Remote Desktop Connection' UI has the 'Options' button which
gives different settings with regard to 'Display', 'Local resources',
'Program' and 'Experience'.

Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Dinesh.

Thanks for your response.

Actually, it turned out to be a DNS problem. After a little testing, I
found I could connect to a specific PC by IP, but not name. Once I added
the primary DNS to the VPN configuration I was able to connect.
