Trouble booting up on CDROM

I can't boot up on my CDROM drive, which my Xp professional disk is inserted
on. I went to my bios and changed everything to make it boot up on CDROM, but
it doesn't. It says "Not found" when it checks for it.

So if anyone can help me with me with this please do so. I'm running an AMD
Athlon Xp 1700+.

Thanks.

- Your WinXP CD might be marginal. Try someone else's CD.
- Your CDROM might be playing up. See if you can borrow one
from a friend.

try with someone else's bootable cd.
if it still fails try putting different cd drive and check with your own cd.
even then if it fails then you might have to check for the bios upgrade

all the best
