I paid and downloaded Avast to protect my Laptop. I continue to get unwanted
pop ups and notices of unwanted Tjn on a report from Avast. What can I do to
stop this?

There is not one product that can trap every virus / spyware /
trojan. You should consider getting MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware Free
or SuperAntiSpyware free as additional tools.
