Hello:

Does anyone out there have any information on how to get rid of the spyware
Trojan.Win32.Agent.azsy that we downloaded onto our Vista laptop?

Most websites either force you to pay for a solution or tell you to remove
files--files which don't exist in the first place. Any help would really be
appreciated!

nope....that didn't do it. A lot of those files that it suggests to remove
aren't even on the machine.

Download, install, update and perform a full scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Reread the article, the virus can take any of those name variants, not all
of them. Removal of a trojan can be painstaking work, you'll need to sit
down and scan through the indicated folders for each of them.

well, but that's my point....I'd like a set of instructions that will allow
me to solve this problem....otherwise, I guess I gotta take out a credit card.

| but, you have to pay for that, though.....

NO -- Free !

That is unless you want the full version which protects as well as removes. what I
suggested is the free, removal, version.

The instructions for removal are there in the article - you just have to
follow them. It *will* take time as you need to check for all the possible
variants. They won't all exist, but you can't skip looking for any of them.

Yeah, but it has a "Purchase" button on it.....So, when it finishes the Full
Scan, it will make me purchase it in order to get rid of this stuff.

I'll let it finish the scan, but hours later it's going to say to purchase
something to get rid of the spyware....then, I'm back to square one

Thanks, David! I just ran the quick scan and it allowed me to remove this
trojan for free. I was not aware that it would be that simple and free.

Thank you, and God bless you!

I suggest a FULL SCAN to make sure there isn't anything else.
