Trojan removal tool?

My son's laptop to the best of my knowledge is home to fotomoto, conhook and Vundo trojans so I am just wondering if there is a good free trojan removal software or if it's just as easy to reformat the thing?

I've tried a couple but they scan and either don't find the infection or won't remove it unless you buy the product.
