trojan horse downloader keenval.e

I have this trojan horse downloader keenval.e in my
c:\program files\common files\updmgr\updmgr.exe file. My
virus scan program (AVG 6) detected but could not heal or
isolate it in the vault. I did the scan in safe mode and
still could not get rid of it. Other than completely
zapping out my hard drive and starting from scratch, any
ideas on how to get rid of this thing. I have XP
Professional.
