Can w2k plus sp4 be trimmed so much (e.g. by nlite) that it requires
only 1.4 GB disk space? Regards, Aristide

The minimum system requirements calls for 650MB of free space. You
should be able to fit it on 1.4GB but you will have to keep a close eye
on it.

If you're having problems, cheat. Well, you should upgrade your hard
disk and do things properly, but you can cheat. Pull some RAM. I
suspect if you're having problems installing it's because Windows
creates a pagefile that is 1.5x RAM. So if you have 512 MB of RAM, then
the pagefile is going to take up 768 MB + 650 MB = 1.4 GB. If you have
more RAM, than the page file is larger. Pull the RAM, leave 128 or 256
in for the install, then put it back after you install. Then you can
manually adjust the pagefile size and put the entire pagefile on another
drive/partition.
