I installed the Office SBE 2007 with the wrong email so I was unable to use
it. I unistalled and tired to delete all occurances of Office 2007 on my
hard drive. I unfortuantely deleted some PST files which I th ought belonged
to the first install. During the first use, Outlook looked for these files
and I was unable to get it to work? I have a brand new Dell laptop. Woudl
there have been PST files created during manufacture that OUtllok needed?
How can I recreate what OUtlllok wants so I can use the trial version?

There will be no pst files unless Outlook has been set up.
If it is indeed a brand new laptop containing no data files, restore it to
factory condition, as from your post its impossible to determine what you
have done wrong.
Once the Laptop is up and running and its done its MS Update thing, then
uninstall any Office Trial together with its activation assistant, and
reboot
Then install Office from your dvd/cd

The laptop contained no trial edition and I do not know aobut the activation
assistant. we were trying to install a downloaded trial from the microsoft
website. the first time i used an email which had an expired download on it
already so Outlook would not laoow us to crate emails. So we downloaeded
again with a good email. But prior to that I wnet into windows explorer and
the registry and tired to remove anything to do with installation of
Office12. Somewhere in the process, I think in Appilcation Data, I deleted
two PST files. The 2nd time we installed and then run OUtlook it looked for
those files. I guess I didnt delete everything. What we ended up doing is
using OpenOffice and LIve mail until we can buy a full install.
