Hi all... I'm using Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Anti-Hacker but my
Licence's will expire soon.

Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security 12 seems to be getting good
reviews and it also has the feature of Wardor (Wi-Fi Intrusion)
Detection.
Has ayone used this package before??.... whats it like??

Well, it's an upgrade over last year's version (TIS 2004)in that they
have added some features that could be useful for those who have a home
network. I bought a 3 license pack, but have it installed currently on
only one system {I got 3 licenses for $39.00- wanna buy one? ;)}

The network intrusion module (with firewall capability) has been
modified to allow or deny traffic based on application, as well as
port, protocol and IP address(s). This is not a default setting though;
you have to pick the highest level of security if you want this.

The Wi-Fi detection works on one of my systems, but not another than has
a Cisco software VPN Adapter installed (autostart is disabled).

The Spyware module is....well...it's hard to say anything positive about
it. If there is one thing about PCC IS 2005 that's a pure POS, it's the
Spyware detection module. Disable it; don't use it. Period.

Spam filtering is *not* bad, although I'd rather use Mailwasher pro and
just disable the anti-spam module.

Its GUI looks "cheap", sort of reminds me of how I felt about Japanese
cars back in the early '70s.

Overall, I'd give it a C+/B minus. I haven't used KAV/KAH in over 5
years, so I don't what you'd be giving up, going with PCC IS 2005.

I replaced my Norton's Internet Security Suite 2005, last night, with
PC-cillin. Too soon to tell the whole store, but it feels like my system is
on steroids!
