i know this has been discussed before but i'm looking for a tray
manager / organizer that'll let me collapse my tray bar into one or two
icons.

icons.

On XP, you can do this without additional apps.
Right-click the taskbar and take tab 'Taskbar', then tick the box
"hide inactive icons". You can customise which icons are to be hidden
when inactive.

It may seem silly but you can study the human nature in these newsgroups. I
have learned some vital lessons.

It's very easy to take people the wrong way on usenet.
I often post shortened versions of my views but find others start
doing textual analyses.

Absolutely. Studying people is an interesting pasttime on newsgroups.
People will often express opinions from behind a handle that they
would never say in public under their own name. I notice this on the
political NGs especially.
