R-click the Quick launch area and pick View, Large Icons.

You're welcome, no problem, sometimes its all in where the cursor lies.

Hi Deango - Bob already addressed Quick Launch. For the tray icons:
Control Panel|Display|Appearance then select Caption Buttons from the
dropdown and click size up/down as appropriate. These directions will vary
slightly depending on your OS. This is for Win2k (which happens to be what
I have up right now.
) Note: I suggest small changes and then
test for effect. It'll vary considerable depending upon the resolution
you're using.
