tray icon tooltips appearing under taskbar

when i hover the mouse over a tray icon so that the tooltip appears,
the tooltip box is drawn under the task bar so that the bottom line
of the tooltip is cut off. This is WinXP Pro on a new laptop (T7500,
nvidia 8600M grafx, 2GB ram, etc) Anyone ever encounter anything like
this?

Everybody, all the time. Go to Start, Programs, r-click in there and
select Sort by Name, and it will be "fixed" until it get confused again.

Yeah! MS still has not fixed this permanately. We just have
"learned" to live with it. (Not sure if this is "fixed" in Vista.
He!! Not even sure that Vista is better but it seems to have a
different "user interface -- I have not used it too much.)

Sure. We all have. It's a known bug.
