Transparent background shortcut fonts, can do?

I'd like to see my desktop icons names being displayed
with transparent background. Can this be done, and if
yes how is this done?

Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance/Settings/ Visual
Effects/"Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop". If this still
doesn't do the trick, right-click the desktop, point to Arrange Icons By and
make sure that Lock Web Items on Desktop is un-checked
