Translating disk names

I'm trying to deal with disk errors. The event log contains things
like

An error was detected on device \Device\HardDisk3\DR5 during a paging
operation

Windows was unable to save all of the data for the file
\Device\HardDiskVolume4\...

(The names really do say HardDisk3 in one case and HardDiskVolume4 in
the other).

The most pressing need is to discover which disk(s) these errors are
referring to. How do I translate? Thanks in advance.
 
All partitions or hds have nos asociated with them,go to run,type:
diskmgmt.msc In msc the nos.,letters are shown.

Thank you. This helps. But, is there really no better or systematic
way to translate \Device names?
