Transition from WP

This is not for me, but rather a co-worker. Does anyone know a good site, or
article that one can reference as a new Word user. I know there are
interactive guides for previous versions of Office, but is there anything out
there for transitioning from WP to Word?

Thanks a lot,

Thanks Suzanne. I ran across these as well, but unfortunately they may be
far to technical for this particular user. I know it is not out there, but
she could use one of those automated guides that show you where to find the
command in the ribbon .. like they have for Word 03. My guess is this will
take much handholding on my part.

Is she using Word 2003 or Word 2007? There are guides, both interactive and
static, that show you where to find Word 2003 commands on the Word 2007
Ribbon. The very first thing you want to give her for Word 2007 is the
"Welcome to the 2007 Microsoft Office system" page at
http://blogs.vertigosoftware.com/jatwood/archive/2006/07/28/Microsoft_Office_2007_Cheatsheet.aspx
(Web page with links to .doc. and .pdf versions).

The add-in available from
http://www.officelabs.com/projects/searchcommands/Pages/default.aspx might
also help, as it allows you to search for commands by name. Other command
references are found here:

Alternatively, you might look here for a printed guide:

2003, but other versions are also available; see

Thanks Suzanne,

I apologize if I was not more clear. Those interactive guides are GREAT
,however this particular user needs one to show her how to do things in Word
07 that she was able to do previously using WP. Thus the dilemna .. My guess
is there is not much out there, unless she wants to pay an outside vendor for
some training. I really appreciate the links and suggestions you offered up.

Take care,

My understanding of the add-in from OfficeLabs is that it allows you to
search for features in natural language and be pointed to them. But my guess
is that she needs to buy a book on Word 2007 and read it thoroughly.
