Transition and upgrade movie maker problems

When ever I create a transistion, or try to add one,
Movie Maker randomly closes. This has happened
everytime,, same when I try to add credits. There is no
error message, it just closes when I add a video
transition. Not only that, but it doesn't look like Movie
Maker upgraded into Movie Maker 2 when I downloaded that.

If you are adding transitions and credits, you are in MM2. They were not
part of MM1.
