Before installing XP, i had a win 98 OS system. After
installing XP i now have the capability of multibooting
(win98 is on C and XP on D). But I would like to have
most of my software in 98 available in XP without
reinstalling it. Is there a way to just transfer it from
98 to XP?

Please help.

Thank you.

Data yes, Programs normally no. Most programs install information in the
registry and there are other "ties" into the operating system that simply
copying the program files will not accomplish. You should always freshly
install all programs to be used once you have the newly installed OS ready.
