I have a new computer with Atholon XP 2000+ and Windows
XP. Recently the sound changed to an "echo","tinny" sound
and I don't know if I did it inadvertantly or something
became defective. Also, I am unable to transfer programs
and files from my old Pentium3 computer to this one via
floppy disks as I was able to do to the Pentium3 when it
was new.Can anyone help? Please! Thanks

For the sound issue, if you don't remember what you did (and *if* you
did something), either do a System Restore to before the sound went
weird or reinstall your sound card drivers. For the floppy issue, I
assume what you really mean is that you are having difficulties getting
XP to read your old floppies. This is definitely an XP issue. Try
formatting some floppies on the XP machine and use them to copy the
files from your old machine. If you really mean installing
*programs*,then it is because you generally can't install a program by
just copying its folder from the old machine to the new one. You'll
have to install it, usually from cd-rom. Post back with more details
about what you are trying to do if you want more help.
