Transferring Outlook Email and Contact Info

Steve Flowers

I just created a Windows XP Professional user account and
password for an employee of our company on the notebook PC
he was already using. He had been using this PC as
the 'Administrator' with no password. He had created an
Outlook email account with various mail boxes, contacts,
etc. When I logged him into Windows using his new account
and password, Windows reconfigured Outlook as if the PC
had never been used. I had to create a whole new email
account for the employee, and obviously he then no longer
had his previous email, mail boxes, and contacts. How can
I get those back for him and transfer them into his new
email account?

Thanks!

Search the hard drive for all .PST files and you should find the one he was
most recently using. Make sure you search in hidden and system folders,
since Windows XP typically hides .PST files.
