Transferring/Copying settings for an additional user

Hi,

I have to set up a new user account for an additional employee and don't
want to have to go through setting up everything for the new user.

Is there any way to transfer/copy the settings from one user to another
in WinXP Pro?

Yes, Profiles can be copied, with a qualifier. You cannot copy
the profile of the user currently logged in. The best way to do
this is copy a "Tweaked/Customized" profile to the Default user
stored at C:\Documents and Settings\Default User
This should be done before My Docs or Favorites are populated
as this data will be cloned along with Settings,etc.
Copying into the Default User will be applied to all new profiles
created on the PC. This is done from the My Computer, Properties
Advanced,User Profiles, Settings applet. You simply choose the
profile to copy and then browse to the Documents and Settings
sub-folder and click on an existing profile to receive the overwrite
profile data. Microsoft has a Knowledge Base article that describes
the procedure in more detail.

Also the currently logged in user must be a computer administrator and
folder view settings must be set to show hidden files or you won't find
C:\Documents and Settings\Default User folder because it's hidden.

You can also copy the desired user profile to a floppy disk for use on
other XP Pro machines. All you have to do is select all on the floppy
and copy to C:\Documents and Settings\Default User folder on the
additional machine(s).

easily overlooked.
-Close-,.only counts in Horse shoes and hand grenades definitely

Ok, pushing the friendship, I have come up against another problem.
Because of the licensing system used by AutoCAD (C-Dilla), I have now
discovered that users have to be logged in as Administrator (not just
with administrator rights). It appears that the C-Dilla license system
needs the user to be the administrator, so is it possible to transfer
the profile to that of Owner in the same way?
