transferring "contacts" from VISTA PC TO XP PC

Am having trouble transferring "contacts" from VISTA PC TO XP PC.
Can someone help?

It doesn't help much to tell us just the OS.
Transfer from which mail program to which mail program?
Most will import/export the universal .csv format.

I have several computers. Some Vista...some XP. I really need to transfer
contacts info from one to another on a constant basis. Vista uses an
extension .mig to migrate files yet XP does not recognize that type of file.
I use Outlook ( not express)from office 2002 on XP's and Office 2007 on
Vista's computers. What do I do? step by step please.
 
Export contacts using the CSV format. Just about all email programs
can import contacts from a CSV file.
