Transfering files from old computer

When running the transfer files wizard, I am not able to
transfer the files to a CD. The only option is a floppy
disc. The amount of information I am transfering is
requiring an excessive amount of floppy discs. Is this
the only way of transfering files via the transfer wizard?

The xp backup is not capable of saving to a cd. You have to save it to your
drive then burn it to a cd.(or just use a better backup program that does
backup to cd)

the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard *ought* to be able to write to
and span sets of CDs on most hardware. One thought that occurs to me is
that it could be obstructed by having a 'packet writing' package
enabled, like Direct CD or InCD. Read Gary Woodruff`s article on Files
and settings Transfer at http://aumha.org/win5/a/fast.htm
