Transfer Wizard Asks For Too Many Disks

I had to reformat my HD this week, so I transfered all my files using the
Transfer Wizard before doing so. I formated my drive, and now while
attempting to transfer my files back I've run into a strange problem. In
making my wizard CD RW's it took 4 discs to do so. Now while trying to
resurrect my files with the Wizard after it's completed the 4th disc, it asks
for disc 5 which does not exist. Now I've been unable to tranfer all my
files. What should I do?

Did it at least transfer from the first 4? If it wouldn't even start
without the non-existant 5th disc, have you tried it in Safe Mode?
Personally, I wouldn't have used the Wizard to transfer my personal
data files, just the Windows stuff. I'd have used ordinary DVD
burning SW to do my data files. Also, you didn't say but did you do
an image of your HDD so you didn't have to also reinstall Windows and
all your apps or are you just talking about a data-only partition?
Now, if the Wizard really did complete the 4 discs as you state in
your OP, what is the remaining problem? Didn't you get all the files
back somehow?

It does prepare and organize the files right thru disc 4, then when done, it
asks to insert disc 5......just like the other 4......but it did not make a
disc 5 when I was using the wizard to back everything up. Because there is
no disc 5, the only option is to hit cancel which ceases the process and I'm
left with nothing. Thanks
