I have text one a white background on one presentation and want to bring in a
blank background from another. Guidance sought

Which version of PowerPoint do you use? The general method to do this is to
save the background you want to use as a template or design and apply that
to your presentation. But steps to do this are different in different
versions of PowerPoint.
