Transfer Problems between XP and W2K

Hi,

I've got one machine with W2K that I need to get files
off and onto another machine with XP Pro. Some files
give an 'Access is Denied' error, saying the disk may be
full or the file in use, neither of which is true.

As I say, these files are on the W2K box, and need to be
copied to the XP Pro box. Can't make sense of it - the
files are not locked, in use, read only, etc.

What would do this and how might I fix it?

are u logged on to the XP machine with a user account that exists on the w2k
machine?
if so then make sure the user has proper permissoins on the folder, right
click the folder >>security tab> assign full permission to the user.
