I bought a new coomputer from Expert PC House. Was told
they would transfer all my e-mail and address book. Then
the tecnician installed the new computer he informed me
that he could not transfer my email from my old gateway
with windows 98 to my new generic computer with Windows xp
since the two computers were not compatible. That was May
23 2003. He said he would send my address book through e-
mail. AS yet I have not seen it. I am going to try to
get my old computer back here to possibly print copiesof
my e-mail. I have a lot of research information there.

It should be easy enough to transfer these files assuming
you were using something like OUTLOOK or OUTLOOK EXPRESS
on your old PC.

If you were using OUTLOOK, you would simply have to
track down your .PST file on your old machine and copy to
your new machine. Depending on how big the file is you
may need to transfer it on CD-ROM or some such option.

If you were using OUTLOOK EXPRESS you would have to
EXPORT the file to a .PST using OUTLOOK Express.

Until you get your hands on your old PC it sounds like
you may have some troubles. Hope this helps point you in
the right direction.
