transfer from OE to Outlook 98

I've been on OE for years but for ease of backup (I share the address book
with Outlook
but have no idea where that is stored) and functionality (more features) I
am thinking of switching over all my email to Outlook and using that for
everything.

I can't get Outlook 98 to pick up Newsgroups, even after setting Internet
Explorer to have Outlook be my newsreader. Can you use Outlook 98 to read
newsgroups?

If Outlook 98 can be configured to read newsgroups, how is this done? I also
need to transfer my emails somehow.
