Transfer emails in Windows Mail to CD to reload vista due to virus

I'm no good with computer and we are trying to save some messages from
Windows Mail to an external hard drive or CD and not sure where or what files
we should be looking for to save to disc. Can anyone help with detailed
description as I'm not very good with this stuff. Many thanks.
