tranfer windows 2000 server installation to new hardware

Hi all
how can I tranfer existing windows 2000 installation from one hardware
to a newer one?
I know it is not simple like just creating an image of old hard disk.

Is the system state backup enough or there is any additional steps required.

any thoughts

Have a look at article 249694 How to move a Windows 2000 installation to
different hardware. You also might have a look at articles 241594, 216243,
