Trailing "..." in desktop icon text

I have resized the fonts in Display Properties > Settings > Advanced
so that the text is a bit larger.

After doing this I see that the text on my desktop icons is not all
visible but some of it ends the line with "..." rather than wrap to
the next line.

How do I get rid of this?

I have tried increasing icon spacing in Display Properties >
Appearance > Advanced but it does not seem to work.

Can someone advise me on how to get rid of the trailing "..."
characters in the icon text?

The trailing "..." indicates that there is more text currently not
visible. This is because you've made the fonts larger. You can make the
icon text smaller and still have other text larger. Go back to Display
Properties where you originally changed the font size and use the
drop-down arrow to set font sizes, etc. for each of the configurable
items.

Is there no way to give the icon text more space when the fonts are
larger?

Examine the icon spacing options, etc. in the Display applet. See if one
of the several options helps. You could also try renaming the icons
with shorter names. You'll just have to play around with this yourself.
