Trade Show Presentation - in Albums

An engineering firm wants me to create a slide show consisting of several
albums, for use at trade shows. Normally, the presentation will run
automatically, showing all slides in all albums. Then, when someone wants to
see only the slides in a particular album, they want to be able to click on a
link to that album. Can someone please offer some help on how to create the
above, if it can be done with PowerPoint?

One way would be to put all slides in a single presentation and create
"Custom Shows" for each album. You can create custom show through the "Slide
Show" menu/tab. A custom show would have a subset of slides of the
presentation. Next, you need to create a shape for each of the albums and
hyperlink it to the corresponding custom show. This would allow users to
click on the shape and go to the slides of that album. You can specify that
the custom show should come back to the main show. The shapes per album can
be created on the slide master if you want to allow the album slides to be
accessed from any slide of the presentation or you can create a "menu" slide
of just those album shapes.
