Tracking users of a file

How can I tell who has accessed a particular file on my server ( Windows 2003
Server) and when. Thanks.
 
Hi
You would need to enable auditint for object level access and then enable
the auditing for type of access on the file - success/failure.
Success will show you all users who successfully accessed the file.
