Is there anyway to track how long visitors are spending on each page - for
marketing to see which pages are used and which aren't?

Yes, check with your host for access to the server stats for your domain/hosting account.

And be aware that the time cited is not actual time spent reading the
page. I think it's time from when the page is loaded until a new page is
loaded.

If I load a page and then spend 5 min. doing something else (e.g., talk
on the phone) I didn't spend that time reading the page.

If the user is behind a proxy and the proxy is caching pages, the site
logging will not track time for pages served by the proxy.

If you search this group for "statcounter.com" you'll find a note I
just wrote highly recommending it. It will list every page your
visitors view and, as long they transfer within your site, how long
they stayed on each page. Very clever and helpful, and the stats are
available in real-time from their server since it doesn't depend on the
server log files. Free and highly recommended. (No affiliation.)
