Tracked Changes Author - HKLM Registry overide?

Hi All, we run terminal services with Windows 2003. I am sure that there
was a way to overide the user info set in HKCU with information in HKLM so
that the name in HKLM is used in tracked changes.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\UserInfo

Is that not the case?
The reason I think I know is because I had an issue a few months back where
the setting in HKLM was blocking the correstponding setting in HKCU.

Thanks!

Hi Aaron

Settings in the registry do not affect the name of the author attributed to
a tracked change. The author of a tracked change is the person whose name
appears at Tools > Options > User Information. Change yours to Buggs Bunny
for a moment to demonstrate, though I do advise you to change it back
straight away!

Hope this helps.
