Hello Everyone:
Some users at the company I work for are having issues with the track
changes feature in Word 2003...
Here's the scenario:
1. All of the users work in the proposals department - and as such - use the
track changes feature to ensure that everyone knows who edited the various
portions of the document (sometimes 200+ pages.)
2. When this department is finished - they send the document out to our
clients for acceptance. This is where the problem arises. Some of the clients
ask for the MS Word (*.doc) file to accompany the printed copy.
3. When the clients receive the document they can still see the comments.
Even when the department employees have accepted all changes.
This is a big problem since some of they comments / changes in the document
are for internal use only. Is there a way to remove ALL tracked changes from
a document prior to sending it to a client?
IE. User saves document to client folder on HD (keeps original doc on
company server) then pushes "Remove all tracked changes" and re-saves file --
does this work?
Keep in mind that the users have already tried "Accept All Changes" -- the
clients report that they can still look up the former
Thanks in advance!
