Tracert problems

Hello-

I'm trying to run a tracert, but with every domain I try
it on it times out on the 3rd attempt. Does anyone know
why? This happens to me with all urls I try. I've tried
turning off my firewall and anti-virus programs too.

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\Meko>tracert ns1.above.net

Tracing route to ns1.above.net [207.126.96.162]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 11 ms * 12 ms
2 12 ms * 12 ms
3 * * * Request Timed out

You seem to have removed IP addresses from the tracert.
No matter.

It's most likely that the router at the 3rd hop is discarding ICMP.
You probably can't ping it either.

Theres nothing you can do about it, unless it's a router you controll.
I can tracert to it from here, so its not above.net blocking it.
Probably a border router at your ISP.

But tracert is not really important.
Can you NSLOOKUP against it?

Yeah I removed my IP and the other one just incase. I can
ping but cant tracert. When I tried the nslookup it gave
me one server and address then said "Non-authoritative
answer:" Is that how its supposed to work?

TIA,
Matt
