Touchpad Problem

G

Toshiba A75 with XP SP2
All OK for 6 months, yesterday tapping touchpad does nothing. Touchpad still
moves curser but neither single or double tap function.
No new applications have been installed. Previously installed Logitech
wireless mouse continues to work well (but I do not carry the mouse on
airplanes and need touchpad to function).
How do I reset?

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , one at a time, highlight the two "HID" devices you mentioned, Action menu, "Uninstall", then
restart Windows, to find the device drivers again automatically.
