total # of messages

Is there a way to display the total number of messages
beside the folder
 
What version of Outlook?

In Outlook 2003 you can display the total number of items by right clicking
on the folder and choosing Properties. There are option buttons for
displaying the total number of items or the total number of unread items.
Other versions of Outlook do not have this capability.
