Total editing time

Chris

Word properties show total editing time, which is useful
for billing purposes. HOWEVER, this time is a total time,
and rarely reflects the ACTUAL time spent unless creation
and editing takes place in one stretch. In real life we
accept calls, surf the web or do many other tasks that
take from the editing time. Often I leave a document open
for hours then return to it, and the editing time is
meaningless. Is there a way to restrict this time so the
timer stops if there is no keyboard activity for 5
minutes, or is there some other option you can activate,
or third party add-in that can offer true productivity
measurement on Word document editing time?

Thanks!

Chris

I've sometimes suspected that the clock stops when I have Word minimized to
the Taskbar, but I haven't done any actual tests to confirm this.
