Toshiba Modem Isn't Recognised Under Windows XP

I have a Toshiba Portege 7200CT laptop and have recently
upgraded to windows XP. WinXP doesn't detect the
internal modem. I have tried to manually install the
modem using the provided drivers supplied by Toshiba,
however this hasn't worked, the modem still cannot be
seen by windows. Has any one else had this problem, any
help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with a Toshiba p10-304 and XP Pro. Did you by chance update the BIOS, which was modified on 20 April, as I did ? I had no problem prior to that with XP Home

Curious: if you had no problems, then why did you updated BIOS? What
were you trying to fix?
