topmoxie and virtual machine

whenever windows starts up, there is a popup that
states "topmoxie requires microsoft virtual machine".
the problem is that the website that it refers to does
not offer it anymore. also, topmoxie is a potential
virus or spyware (supposedly). so, how do i remove it so
the popup does not occur?
