In the advanced section under file types (for file folders) in windows
explorer, I have put in a couple of action items and now can't edit or
remove them.

I have all rights, since it's my own computer, and I'm administrator.

What now?

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell

Look in the relavent sub-keys for the context menu items you added. By default, Find is the only sub-key.
