Toolbars

I am using Access 2003 and Windows XP
My questions deals with all of the Microsoft programs not just Access. How
do you keep the toolbars, at the top of the screen, where you want them.
Sometimes the different toolbars (formatting, report design, avery etc.) seem
to move to where they want to go and not where I put them. I try to keep the
toolbars in two rows. But sometime the different toolbars will split into 3
or 4 rows. How can I keep them where I want them?

I would appreciate any help you can offer me.

Hi Aurora,

Your question "How do you keep the toolbars, at the top of the screen,
where you want them."? Has an assumption in it that just isn't true.
I and many other developers want the toolbars to work pretty much the
way they do. :)

Now, as to what *you* want: I speak about Access only but it probably
applies across many Microsoft platforms: Right click on an Access
toolbar. choose Customize. Select the toolbar in question from the
list. Choose properties. Set the properties for the behavior you
want.

Larry - Thank you for responding.
I did what you said to do and changed the "docking" to Can't change. But
that did not keep the toolbars the way I wanted them. But I do appreciate
your help. I learned something new today.
