Toolbars

I have a few toolbars installed with IE and when I right click to view
available toolbars the toolbar I check or uncheck does not match the toolbar
which actually gets added or removed -it appears to be random. Any suggestion
would be welcome

It is not unheard of.
I have a friend who has a mismatch with Yahoo and Google bars
but she is quite able to manage the situation and told me not to
bother investigating.
No spyware, parasites or adware present. The machine was clean.

You can try this to see if the toolbars get reset:
http://mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IEToolbar.reg

or if you have the Google toolbar:
Go to http://toolbar.google.com/fixmenu and click on the "Reset IE's
Toolbar Menu" button.
