Toolbar handle for address button on taskbar

Once again I am stuck on a technical problem in the middle of trying to do homework. The instructions in my textbook say, "right click the taskbar. Point to Toolbars. Click Address." Okay, I have this part. I am stumped on the next part. It says, "You are looking at the Address toolbar incorporated into the taskbar. It is a small button. (so far, so good) You can change the size of the toolbar, float it on the desktop, or anchor it to an adge of the desktop. (yes) "You use the handles to manipulate the toolbar. Place your mouse over the left dotted line of the Address button until it turns into a double-sided arrow." This is where I am having the problem. I do not have a left dotted line nor does turn into a double sided arrow. Please can someone help me? Thank you so much!
