Toolbar buttons displaced

My toolbar buttons have been shifted to the very right,
and only one shows at a time. If I have 5 programs open,
only one shows, and I have to click the little up- or
down-arrows to get to the next program button. The only
way to restore them all to the toolbar is to remove the
QuickLaunch and Desktop toolbar functions.

This suddenly started happening. The only thing I can
think of is that I removed and then reinstalled MS
Document Imaging because it was corrupted. I don't know
if that had any effect, but that's the only change I've
made recently.

Help please. Email above is correct but remove the dash
and what comes after. Last time I left a message here I
got deluged with SPAM.

Hi

Pls rightclick on your taskbar, and click 'unlock taskbar'. Move your mose
to the open program tab which is far to right as you mentioned. When your
mouse pointer changes to a 'double arrow' press and hold down your left
mousebutton, now you can drag this tab to the left on the taskbar, and drop
it where you want, and finally rightclick taskbar again and turn on 'lock
taskbar'

Thanks Sparkie, but that didn't help.

Actually, I'm not sure what you mean by "open program"
tab. I see the grabber thingy for the Desktop tab and
for the QuickLaunch tab, which I can move around the
taskbar (with or without holding the shift key down), but
there's no such thingy for the open programs tab.

I can move the QuickLaunch to the left or right of
Desktop tab, but the open programs still stay stacked up
to the right, just to the left of the system tray.

And no, I don't "Group similar taskbar buttons" checked.
Never have.

And I've always kept the taskbar unlocked. I can lock
it, but up to now it's always been unlocked.

The only way I can see all open program buttons on the
taskbar is to remove the QuickLaunch and Desktop tabs.
Again, this only started happening two days ago.

Whatever help anyone can give would be great.
