Tool bars not fitting on screen no matter how we adjust

Wed 9/10, I saw the remove unused icon button come up and I clicked it to
close or thought I did. It popped back up so I hit o.k. It was starting the
wizard and I walked away. When I came back the screen was all distorted and
out of range. My computer guy tried rolling back the video driver and
adjusting settings from the monitor itself and settings with no luck. Low
resolution is the only way it fits or by not enlarging the windows. Was there
some download on 9/10 that would have affected it. My computer has 2003
drivers.

Right-click on the empty Desktop>Properties>Settings>change your resolution

If only it was simple. Nothing seems to work. The only way to view my screen
is wiht 800 x 600 resolution. Any higher makes the toolbars like side bar and
back button not visible. We have tried everything. The monitor buttons won't
help adjust anything either.

Are you referring to Explorer, IE (Internet Explorer), or the Desktop?
I doubt the Desktop would have a "Back" button for any reason.. and few
use a sidebar on the Desktop either. There is a sidebar on IE, and a
CommonTasks bar in Explorer, so I guess you could be referring to one of
them.

If you have to scroll the Desktop within the screen resolution, that's
called "panning". If that's the problem, when you open Display
Properties, Settings tab, there might be two slide bars for Screen
Resolution. In that case, slide them both to the same resolution, so
panning won't be needed to see the complete screen.

If the monitor is an LCD monitor, there might be an Auto button to
resize the screen after a resolution change.
